About Us
Why was the Arcadia Arts Initiative established?

Mission Statement

The Arcadia Arts Initiative was organized to bring together
existing and new artists into a community of teaching,
collaboration, and sharing.

Our purpose is to promote successful individual artists to
encourage the teaching of their creative art and craft forms
to others, and to contribute to the growth and development
of historic Arcadia, Indiana.

Concept

Our goal for the Arts Initiative is to grow a traditional arts
and crafts community in historic downtown Arcadia, that is
in keeping with the community’s heritage.

In addition, the ‘Arts Initiative will link to the Indiana
Transportation Museum’s operating schedule, and is part
of the Nickel Plate Arts Trail Initiative that begins in Fishers,
continues through Noblesville, Cicero, Arcadia, Atlanta and
ends in Tipton.

Through teaching space, cooperative promotions and
marketing, special events, and community support, artists
can teach, practice and promote their creative works to
thrive, both professionally and financially.
